Daniel Kontur
Daniel Kontur is an international engima. Of Czech and Hungarian descent, he was born in Germany, raised in Ireland and now hops between London & Budapest.
His filmmaking began in the realms of TV. His work on the drama-doc series 'Murder Maps' has been described by director Guillermo del Toro as “a classy, well-crafted - yet lurid - recreation of infamous Edwardian/Victorian murders”. He was then commissioned by Netflix to co-create 'Myths & Monsters', a 6 part animation documentary series covering the history of storytelling through the vast array of European mythology. His short film ‘Night In A Hotel‘ screened at numerous Oscar-qualifying film festivals all over the world and even picked up an award or two. Recently he’s started turning to commercials, his latest work for Burger King went viral on Reddit and got nominated for two YDAs at the Cannes Lions.
